Preparing for the Ultimate in Unpredictability

The importance of climate control

Climate control is one of those parts of life which one should seldom need to really pay much attention to. The main point of climate control involves essentially generating an artificial climate within a building. In theory this shouldn't be too difficult a task. But in practice it's facing some fairly serious issues. The most significant of these issues is the simple unpredictability of weather. Climate control needs to compensate for whatever the weather outside might be at any given moment. But weather is almost the very definition of unpredictability. This can create some rather difficult challenges for climate control. It needs to quickly compensate for weather that might vary on a minute by minute basis. The second huge issue relates to this initial one as well. The second issue is the fact that most climate control systems are either old or based on older methodologies. People often take some elements of education for granted. The fact that warm air rises being one of those things people tend to assume everyone's always known. But the fact is that most climate control systems don't take this basic fact into account. It just wasn't something well understood when the first systems were designed.

Leaping into a more effective way to stay warm

However, this also brings with it a rather exciting opportunity. New designs, and specifically radiant floor heating systems, do take these factors into consideration. And the overall increases in efficiency can be quite impressive. The basic idea behind floor heating comes from the fact that warm air rises. Heat comes from pipes under one's floor. And the heat can then rise up to the floor. During this process it essentially pushes out cold air into the ceiling area. This creates a more balanced warming effect than other heating systems which simply push hot air from a single small vent in the wall. Heating from the bottom up also provides increased efficiency when it comes to adapting to rapid changes in the weather outside. And it's often surprisingly easy to have it installed within one's home or office.
